You must be at least 18 years of age to use ShootingBid. You must be legally permitted to purchase, own, and transfer firearms under all applicable federal, state, and local laws. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
All transactions on ShootingBid must comply with the Gun Control Act of 1968, the National Firearms Act, and all applicable state and local laws. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their transactions are lawful. ShootingBid is not responsible for unlawful transactions.
Interstate firearm transfers must go through a licensed FFL dealer. Buyers are responsible for locating a local FFL dealer and providing their information to the seller. ShootingBid does not facilitate the transfer itself.
The following items may not be listed on ShootingBid: stolen firearms, unregistered NFA items, illegal modifications (full-auto conversions), items prohibited by federal law, and any items where sale is illegal under applicable state law.
All bids placed on ShootingBid are binding contracts to purchase. Winning bidders are obligated to complete the transaction. Failure to pay after winning may result in account suspension and negative feedback.
Sellers are responsible for: accurate item descriptions, legal ownership of items listed, timely shipping upon payment, proper packaging for firearm shipment, and compliance with all shipping carrier requirements for firearms.
Sellers agree to pay the final value fee on completed sales. Fees are deducted from sale proceeds. Current fee rates are listed on our Fees & Pricing page. ShootingBid reserves the right to change fees with 30 days notice.
ShootingBid provides a platform for transactions but is not a party to them. We encourage users to resolve disputes directly. We may assist in dispute resolution but are not obligated to do so and our decisions are final.
ShootingBid reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or otherwise harm the community, without prior notice.
ShootingBid is not liable for any damages arising from transactions between users, the condition of items sold, failure to complete transfers, or any other transaction-related issues. Use of this platform is at your own risk.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
