Shipping Guide

A quick guide to shipping firearms, ammunition, and accessories safely and legally after a sale.

Shipping firearms

Firearms must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer, not to a buyer's home. Once the buyer's dealer sends their license to the seller, the seller ships the firearm to that dealer for transfer.

Shipping ammunition

Ammunition usually ships by ground only and must be labeled as ORM-D / Limited Quantity where required. It cannot ship by air with most carriers. Some states and localities restrict ammunition shipments — confirm the destination allows it.

Accessories & non-FFL items

Optics, holsters, parts, and most accessories can ship directly to the buyer using standard methods. Package small parts securely so they don't shift in transit.

Pack it right: Use a sturdy box, plenty of padding, and never include any paperwork that lists the contents on the outside. Insure valuable shipments.

Costs & tracking

Sellers set their own shipping cost on each listing (or offer free shipping). Always use a tracked, insured service and share the tracking number with your buyer once shipped.
